Why are more and more investors choosing the Middle East? The Middle East is a market full of foreign trade opportunities and has become a key market for many investors to develop, full of many foreign trade opportunities. As an investor, how to develop customers in the Middle East market? Today, let's talk about this issue.

1、 Situation and NeedsThe Middle East, which connects Asia, Africa and Europe, is located at the intersection of the "the Belt and Road" and is an important participant in the construction of the "the Belt and Road". In recent years, with the steady progress of the construction of the "the Belt and Road", the economic and trade relations between the mainland of China and the Middle East countries have been deepening, and China has become the most important investor in the Middle East with an investment of US $29.5 billion, accounting for 31.9% of the total regional investment.Statistics show that in the past decade, the trade volume between mainland China and the Middle East has increased from 20 billion US dollars to 230 billion US dollars. In the eyes of the traditional public, the image of Middle Eastern businessmen is "a piece of cloth on top of my head, I am the richest in the world", but in the eyes of investors, the Middle East is not only "rich and flowing", but also has a "blue ocean of foreign trade".

2、 Middle East imports:

1. Hot selling products :Home appliance products:

Middle Eastern countries have a large number of family members, strong family values, and a special love for making food. There are many products related to home appliances.

Maternal and Child Products:

The birth rate in the Middle East is relatively high, so maternal and child products are a very promising market.

Electronic products:

There are many young people, and there is still a great demand for electronic products.

In addition, drones in the Middle East are particularly popular because the desert area is relatively vast and children like to go out and play, so electronic products are also relatively easy to sell.

Beauty and skincare products:

They are very concerned about the makeup of their eyebrows and eyes, so makeup related products are particularly popular there.

Headbands and clothing: Due to the strong sandstorms and hot climate in the local area, hey play a role in preventing sand and insulation. China has advantages in the production of textiles and clothing, and Middle Eastern countries usually import Chinese textiles, clothing, related equipment, and raw materials.

Tea and tea utensils:

Iran is not only one of the world's tea producing countries, but also one of the world's major tea importers and consumers. The per capita tea consumption in the United Arab Emirates is very high, far exceeding that of any country in the world.

Oil and Gas:

Middle Eastern countries are one of the regions with the richest oil and gas resources in the world, but some countries have limited refining technology and production capacity, so they usually import oil and gas equipment, technology, and finished oil products from China.

Metal products and chemical products:

including steel products, aluminum products, fertilizers, plastic products, etc.

Agricultural products and food:

Middle Eastern countries usually import Chinese agricultural products such as grains, edible oils, fruits, vegetables, tea, as well as various processed foods.

Lighting products:

The Middle East lighting market has become the largest "fat meat" in China's top 10 overseas LED lighting markets. The top three exporting countries are Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. The main products include LED lighting fixtures, LED display screens, light-emitting diodes, lighting fixtures, spare parts, etc.

2. Middle East Import:

License GMARK certificate: This is a mandatory certification in the Middle East region, used to prove that products comply with local specifications and standards. When applying, detailed product information and test reports are required.

COC certificate: This is a customs clearance certificate required by the importing country's customs to prove that the goods comply with the regulations of the importing country. Usually issued by importers or certification bodies.

SABER certificate: Exporting to Saudi Arabia requires applying for an electronic customs clearance certificate from the SABER system, and must also have obtained a GMARK certificate.

SASO certification: Exporting to Iran requires SASO certification and an import license issued by the importer or certification agency.

The policy environment in the Middle East is relatively relaxed, and some countries even have almost no tax or trade barriers, adopting a free exchange system and not implementing foreign exchange controls.

The tariff for the six Gulf countries is generally 5%. Saudi Arabia is different. The standard tariff rate in Saudi Arabia is 12%, and the tax calculation is based on the landed price, which is applicable to the vast majority of imported goods. The duty-free imported goods include food, medicine, books, military equipment, and gold and silver. A special tax of only 4% is levied on medical equipment. To protect its national industry, Saudi Arabia imposes a 20% tariff on certain commodities such as steel, building materials, cement, furniture, detergents, etc.
