The first China Africa Trade Index released by the General Administration of Customs shows that since 2000, the scale of trade between China and Africa has been continuously increasing, trade relations have become increasingly close, trade structure highlights have emerged, and trade potential has continued to increase.

At the opening ceremony of the 34th African Football Cup of Nations held on January 13, 2024, a model of the Cote d'Ivoire economic capital Abidjan Cocodi cable-stayed bridge, built by a Chinese company, made a brilliant appearance and won applause from the audience. 

It is understood that the Kokodi Bridge is the largest cable-stayed bridge in West Africa, with a total length of 630 meters. After opening, it effectively alleviates traffic congestion in Abidjan city and significantly enhances the urban landscape image of Abidjan. The bridge has become a landmark building in Abidjan. 

In August 2023, Ivorian President Ouattara stated at the completion ceremony of the bridge that this high-quality project has made the Ivorian people deeply proud. 

In addition, the opening and operation of a number of iconic projects such as the Kenya Mombasa Railway, the Zambian Lower Kaifu Gorge Hydropower Station, and the Nigeria Leki Deepwater Port have made positive contributions to improving the level of infrastructure in Africa, accelerating the process of interconnection and integration, and promoting the economy and people's livelihoods.

 At the end of 2023, the main line connection ceremony of the Dakar Rapid Transit System project was held in the capital of Senegal, Dakar.

 More than 120 18 meter articulated pure electric buses put into operation were developed and produced by China CRRC Electric Corporation. The vehicle has a beautiful appearance and is equipped with the Senegal national flag in three colors: green, yellow, and red. 

The interior space of the carriage is large, with a total of 55 seats, a maximum passenger capacity of 150 people, and a range of up to 250 kilometers. It also has good anti-corrosion properties that can adapt to the local sandy and humid climate conditions. 

The use of this batch of vehicles will reduce local carbon emissions, which is of great significance for the development of green public transportation in Dakar.Chinese construction machinery is popular in Africa.
